What the Heck is Faith?

with 6 comments

I’ve read about the words “substance” and “evidence” for this answer. Until, I was hungry by that “definition” and found out that it wasn’t its definition, but its consequence. So it read: “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Then the idea of blind faith isn’t any good. Faith is work. Indeed.

I thought that faith was kind of agreeing with what I want even if I know is not possible in supernatural terms, I’ve believe from a “blind faith”. But faith isn’t blind if you do more than just think about the situation. To really be faith it means that you have a certainty for it. Otherwise it would be wishful thinking. Now, that’s weird.

The word Faith comes from the word EMUNAH (Hebrew), that’s the cool part of learning more Hebrew (I wish I can learn more, I know like two words). So, the definition of Emunah is in essence: SUPPORT. Ok, too far here. Support what?

Well, in order to support something you got to “know” that something, but even better to know the Source. Is funny how now in New Age lessons we have hear to refer to God as the “source”, in real He is the source. Never a mute source…if you really want to ever support Him, the least you can do is to know His will. Is that cool or what!

More than just seating around, dreaming those dreams do the self talking, writing down my own view, and calling that FAITH; real alive faith is to hear God and support God. Emunah. Google it and read it yourself. Eat the information. Downloaded to your heart. I’m talking not just about God’s general will, I’m talking about you conquering the greater vision you can have access to for a greater life here on Earth. Hungry?

Faith needs God.
Faith needs you.

Faith gets us to do some things that look “illogical”. But Faith isn’t illogical when God is at the center of our affection, our love, our view, our focus, our path. God wants us to have a fun life, to play the flute. To that…We must Have Faith. !!! “To have Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Shalom!

Emunah God!!!

Don’t miss a trick. Seasoning for good talks.

How much salt I put in a dish depends on the recipe, right? So I got the “A+” dish in my brain, then go out and as soon as I find any “unsalty” fella I start to work for a perfect formula to work in them, right? Don’t you do the same? At least that was me, and at times I do it again. But I’m learning to be just of one mind.

I worked so hard in order to discover formulas so then I can change people’s behavior and make this world a better place…for me. I thought.

The goal is to bring out the best in others in a conversation, not put them down, not cut them out. The point that I missed was that it wasn’t about fixing behaviors, or helping them to realize so, since that is a personal journey (turning to the best way), the point is to learn to love all people sincerely even if that change them by little steps. I do not mean that I consider myself better than others, but my point is that some times we can figure out our perfect view, and we want others to join, just for love. But indeed love is unconditional. So, that lesson is for me as well. Steping back? Just doing what I know is true.

Have you watch how Missionaries work? Ok. They study all about the place they are going to work, the people that they are going to live with, new words, new traditions, new Nation, new everything. When the Mission takes off and they want to communicate their messages all they do is do it in the “WAY” these people are familiar with. From what they read to what they eat. So then you have a bunch of people who are partaking the same bread that all they know. If all you use is “your way” of talking, books you read, experiences of your own, then they would be amazed…thankful by your effort, but still hungry. When you speak in their language, meaning their whole culture, is then like an opportunity for them to connect with you at the same channels. All these effort from you in connecting what you want to release in a way that they can “touch”, is then worth! Feedback is born, and when that happen is just the first brick to a great journey. So isn’t about re-making robots to our personal way of “being” but embracing diversity thru loving others without conditions, out of choice and unselfishly. That’s the shortcut. Just simple but sincere words. We want this world to change ever? Love is the only shortcut. Not the feeling of love, but that in every action we do it with a sincere heart, and that can not happen unless we have empathy, not sympathy. To me is between feeling sorry OR realizing the potential on every person I met. Is a whole world of difference. Understand the common passion with all people. Compassion.

Some cultures, traditions, Nations have complicated words for simple things. This reminds me of those Laws waiting to be understood in Congress, I must said…read. No wonder with such an amount of ink, Who would ever really read those? And in the midst of trying may you lose your heart, or your head. Better to use simple words that all of us can understand. And we all know you like Emerson…no worries. “Use your heads as you live and work among outsiders. Don’t miss a trick. Make the most of every opportunity. Be gracious in your speech. The goal is to bring out the best in others in a conversation, not put them down, not cut them out.” That’s a great piece of advice right there! Huh. Paul of Tarsus was very good at this.

Every time I try to communicate is this inner battle. One hand wants to look polish. The other hand wants to use simple language, the shortcut to the heart. So I recommend to use better the simple language. For me complicated words are those who sum one whole idea on one line. Well, I use that and paint it with my colors, at a point that anybody can relate to. No that all people would like it or understand it, but I’m sure my point is clear for most of all. Building Healthy Relationships with true love has to be Our Destiny, otherwise we miss the point of being in the top of the Mountain.

A Hot real state. I like to search and learn from what’s going on around people’s lives and put that in my own words, but off course when portraying my own is fun as well. You have your own permission to use any color you want. All the potential. Risk of looking like a fool, but to me that’s just the way to live. I have my own permission to live just a Great Life! Investing time like in loving people is the best way to engage and build community, knowing that the matter of change for the better (If that is ever a concern) depends on the person itself, transformation could be exhorted in a godly manner by anyone that loves you, but the decision is personal, never scare someone into your amazing life. Better to do what you know and then just let LIFE take the stage. Everyone is invited to grow, and is personal. Always free and fun to watch. Is not about fixing people, but loving people. Because if we don’t love them, we don’t have agreement, and if there is not agreement from a sincere heart, nothing powerful can never take place. Making sure we LOVE them first is their stage to choose the best for them from a real view of what we put to the test…our LOVE for them.

So I hope that my life get much and much JUICE this coming seasons, so then I can delight all who read this lines and transmit some of the great graces who make those moments possible. And I have then more ingredients for a rich conversation. Is not wonder in how Love gets out to work, so I am in for partnering for more. Yes!

To A Great Life!!!
To A Great Journey!!!

Breathing Nature for Hope…

with 2 comments

To go into solitude, a man needs to retire as much from his chamber as from society. I am not solitary whilst I read and write, though nobody is with me. But if a man would be alone, let him look at the stars. The rays that come from those heavenly worlds, will separate between him and what he touches. One might think the atmosphere was made transparent with this design, to give man, in the heavenly bodies, the perpetual presence of the sublime. Seen in the streets of cities, how great they are! If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore; and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God which had been shown! But every night come out these envoys of beauty, and light the universe with their admonishing smile.

The stars awaken a certain reverence, because though always present, they are inaccessible; but all natural objects make a kindred impression, when the mind is open to their influence. Nature never wears a mean appearance. Neither does the wisest man extort her secret, and lose his curiosity by finding out all her perfection. Nature never became a toy to a wise spirit. The flowers, the animals, the mountains, reflected the wisdom of his best hour, as much as they had delighted the simplicity of his childhood. When we speak of nature in this manner, we have a distinct but most poetical sense in the mind. We mean the integrity of impression made by manifold natural objects. It is this which distinguishes the stick of timber of the wood-cutter, from the tree of the poet. The charming landscape which I saw this morning, is indubitably made up of some twenty or thirty farms. Miller owns this field, Locke that, and Manning the woodland beyond. But none of them owns the landscape. There is a property in the horizon which no man has but he whose eye can integrate all the parts, that is, the poet. This is the best part of these men’s farms, yet to this their warranty-deeds give no title. To speak truly, few adult persons can see nature. Most persons do not see the sun. At least they have a very superficial seeing. The sun illuminates only the eye of the man, but shines into the eye and the heart of the child. The lover of nature is he whose inward and outward senses are still truly adjusted to each other; who has retained the spirit of infancy even into the era of manhood. His intercourse with heaven and earth, becomes part of his daily food. In the presence of nature, a wild delight runs through the man, in spite of real sorrows. Nature says, — he is my creature, and maugre all his impertinent griefs, he shall be glad with me. Not the sun or the summer alone, but every hour and season yields its tribute of delight; for every hour and change corresponds to and authorizes a different state of the mind, from breathless noon to grimmest midnight. Nature is a setting that fits equally well a comic or a mourning piece. In good health, the air is a cordial of incredible virtue. Crossing a bare common, in snow puddles, at twilight, under a clouded sky, without having in my thoughts any occurrence of special good fortune, I have enjoyed a perfect exhilaration. I am glad to the brink of fear. In the woods too, a man casts off his years, as the snake his slough, and at what period soever of life, is always a child. In the woods, is perpetual youth. Within these plantations of God, a decorum and sanctity reign, a perennial festival is dressed, and the guest sees not how he should tire of them in a thousand years. In the woods, we return to reason and faith. There I feel that nothing can befall me in life, — no disgrace, no calamity, (leaving me my eyes,) which nature cannot repair. Standing on the bare ground, — my head bathed by the blithe air, and uplifted into infinite space, — all mean egotism vanishes. I become a transparent eye-ball; I am nothing; I see all; the currents of the Universal Being circulate through me; I am part or particle of God. The name of the nearest friend sounds then foreign and accidental: to be brothers, to be acquaintances, — master or servant, is then a trifle and a disturbance. I am the lover of uncontained and immortal beauty. In the wilderness, I find something more dear and connate than in streets or villages. In the tranquil landscape, and especially in the distant line of the horizon, man beholds somewhat as beautiful as his own nature.

The greatest delight which the fields and woods minister, is the suggestion of an occult relation between man and the vegetable. I am not alone and unacknowledged. They nod to me, and I to them. The waving of the boughs in the storm, is new to me and old. It takes me by surprise, and yet is not unknown. Its effect is like that of a higher thought or a better emotion coming over me, when I deemed I was thinking justly or doing right.

Yet it is certain that the power to produce this delight, does not reside in nature, but in man, or in a harmony of both. It is necessary to use these pleasures with great temperance. For, nature is not always tricked in holiday attire, but the same scene which yesterday breathed perfume and glittered as for the frolic of the nymphs, is overspread with melancholy today. Nature always wears the colors of the spirit. To a man laboring under calamity, the heat of his own fire hath sadness in it. Then, there is a kind of contempt of the landscape felt by him who has just lost by death a dear friend. The sky is less grand as it shuts down over less worth in the population.

Funny “Scout’s Letter Home”

with 5 comments

Dear Mom,

Our scout master told us all write to our parents in case you saw the flood on TV and worried. We are OK. Only 2 of our tents and 4 sleeping bags got washed away. Luckily, none of us got drowned because we were all up on the mountain looking for Jeff when it happened. Oh yes, please call Jeff’s mother and tell her he is OK. He can’t write because of the cast. I got to ride in one of the search & rescue jeeps. It was neat.

We never would have found him in the dark if it hadn’t been for the lightning. Scoutmaster Web got mad at Hector for going on a hike alone without telling anyone. Hector said he did tell him, but it was during the fire so he probably didn’t hear him. Did you know that if you put gas on a fire, the gas can will blow up? The wet wood still didn’t burn, but one of our tents did. Also some of our clothes. Larry is going to look weird until his hair grows back.

We will be home on Saturday if Scoutmaster Webb gets the car fixed. It wasn’t his fault about the wreck. The brakes worked OK when we left. Scoutmaster Webb said that a car that old you have to expect something to break down; that’s probably why he can’t get insurance on it. We think it’s a neat car. He doesn’t care if we get it dirty, and if it’s hot, sometimes he lets us ride on the tailgate. It gets pretty hot with 10 people in a car.

He let us take turns riding in the trailer until the highway patrolman stopped and talked to us. Scoutmaster Webb is a neat guy. Don’t worry, he is a good driver. In fact, he is teaching brother Doug how to drive. But he only lets him drive on the mountain roads where there isn’t any traffic. All we ever see up there are logging trucks.

This morning all of the guys were diving off the rocks and swimming out in the lake. Scoutmaster Webb wouldn’t let me because I can’t swim and Jeff was afraid he would sink because of his cast, so he let us take the canoe across the lake. It was great. You can still see some of the trees under the water from the flood. Scoutmaster Webb isn’t crabby like some scoutmasters. He didn’t even get mad about the life jackets. He has to spend a lot of time working on the car so we are trying not to cause him any trouble.

Guess what? We have all passed our first aid merit badges. When Rob dove in the lake and cut his arm, we got to see how a tourniquet works. Also Bruce and I threw up. Scoutmaster Webb said it probably was just food poisoning from the leftover chicken, he said they got sick that way with the food they ate in prison. I’m so glad he got out and become our scoutmaster. He said he sure figured out how to get things done better while he was doing his time.

I have to go now. We are going into town to mail our letters and buy bullets.

Don’t worry about anything. We are fine.

Love, Dave

We cannot lose if We do not quit

with 3 comments

“We know from the overwhelming testimony of Scripture and history that we cannot lose if we do not quit.” ~Rick Joyner.

Here goes the difference between My Old Nature vs My New Nature:

My Old Nature vs. Experiencing God

1. Unbelief vs. Faith (XNU)
2. My ideas vs. God’s Word/Clarity
3. Information vs. Revelation
4. Feelings driven vs. Love driven
5. Religion vs. Relationship with God
6. The Principles vs. Listening to His voice
7. My Development vs. Guided By His Presence
8. Intention vs. Direction from God
9. Conceit vs. Put Other’s Needs First
10. Cemetery order vs. Birth order
11. Fantasy vs. Walking IN Perspective
12. My Perfection vs. His Gift of Righteousness in Me
13. Arrogant vs. Thankful of ALL of His Gifts in Me
14. The Natural vs. Bringing Heaven To Earth
15. Denial vs. God is Good All The Time
16. Make myself holy vs. Unmerited Grace of God in Me
17. Survival vs. Changing The World
18. My Performance vs. God’s Grace is About Him
19. Acknowledging God vs. Experiencing His Power
20. Waiting On Him vs. Me Creating a Situation.

What God says about me is all I have to know to step out and believe again that everything is possible. As when we were kids, there all was simple, to many of us who may have a difficult childhood that was but a moment. A child’s nature is but sweet, tender, mind of the impossible. To “Celebrate my life” given gifts from God is to be humble for living by His power. To experience of His Goodness. God is Good all the time.

Until Dreams & Habits are the same! To give God a CHANCE TODAY!!

LIVE IT OUT!!!!

LIVE IT OUT TODAY!!!!

Change Your Confession!

leave a comment »

It is told to us that in every moment of our day we’re either sowing or reaping. That means that the memory bank that is inside of our brain is paying attention to what is happening outside, and is doing so all the time, even when we are sleeping. Any thought you think, that, is attracted to you.

Remember the old saying: As a men thinketh in his heart so “is he” or “is it”, remember? That means that for so long we had lose view of the influence by what I am doing inside of my body. But we are not talking here just about our Natural mind, but also about our Spiritual mind-from my heart. The mind of my heart.

Influencing the atmosphere by the way we think goes further when we make a decree out of.

The thoughts process of my heart renewed, and the power of the decree. Focus on the true out of my mouth then is a very important deal. The title of this post paint that thought as it is “Change your confession”, your confession is the buy product of what your heart really thinks. Then, what kind of thoughts I have to think?

Making that switch from a place of perspective. How do I have a perspective? Believing in what God says about you.

Transformed. I am a lover of reading, therefore I read the Bible, pretty often. I have learned that the Old Testament has an old way of thinking. Yeah!!! Old Testament anointing, practices, and theologies needs to be transformed into New Testament truth. Why? Well, when we mirror what is happening there, then there invades here. I like better the New Covenant because is one that we can pursue and get a greater Glory. If we pursue the inferior we are going to obtain a shadow of what God wants. Old Testament had glory because was released from God, but the new covenant has more glory. Old Testament is a tutor. New Testament is about Transformation. God is 100% focus on transformation, because transformed people transform Cities.

God has but one category of thinking. We must also act from that “ONE” way of thinking. WE ARE GREAT. Unbelief is not Humility, Unbelief is humiliation. GOD IS MAGNIFYING IN OUR GREATNESS. Knowing how much He has deposit inside of us is the greater revelation He can gave us. Enough for us to Shine with that revelation in our heart. And Fruitful Growth in The Faith just happens as we believe His word, ponder upon it, believe it, and yield to it until the point that that confession on WHO WE ARE becomes celular truth…to act then from it, to excell from it. Because IT IS FINISHED!!!.

LEST SHINE!!!
BELIEVE AND BE BRAVE!!!

Cemetery order vs. Giving birth order

leave a comment »

Cemetery order: The neatness, the quiet, the silence, the tranquility of such a place. You can not expect much stress here. When situations arise with the ability to perform itself in an extravagant way some people prefer to stay in the quiet and not to engage the mess that some times changes in life must bring forth to establish that milestone.

Giving birth order: Hearing those babies crying as they are welcome to this planet, order is found here in the chaos itself. Some nervous people around, expectation arises. Sweating, Yielding, and Running around, Nervous and Exited at the same time…all that is ok. Is the order of life, is the taste of winning the battle, bringing one more miracle to earth. Not talking about rebellion, talking about heaven touching earth sometimes is messy. Must be. When heaven is brought here to earth, that is noisy stuff. And life is so good!!!! God is good.

Got a miracle yet?
